Grace Thacker

Charlotte Grace Goodwin Thacker, age 82, passed away Thursday April 1, 2010 at Aldersgate Retirement Community. A native of Chatham County, she was the wife of the late Richard Way Thacker, Sr. and daughter of the late John Robert and Elsie Lindley Goodwin. Grace is survived by her daughter, Linda Parrish and husband Zeb of Mooresville; son, Richard Way Thacker, Jr. and wife Jane of Charlotte; grandchildren, MeLinda White and husband Jeff, Jake Suddreth and wife Missy, Michael Suddreth, Charlie Thacker and fiancee Laura Thomas and Margaret Thacker; great grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Hunter, Clarissa, Cody, Clayton, Caleigh, Mattieann and Grace. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Ada Soots and Lewis Goodwin. Funeral service will be held at 11:30am Monday April 5, 2010 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Harrill. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 10:30am to11:15am prior to the funeral service.
