Grace Overman

Grace Gentry Overman, 73, of Whitsett died on Saturday, December 3, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born in Cocke County, Tennessee to the late Joseph Felbert and Myrtle Alene Smith Gentry and was married for 57 years to Billy Earl Overman who survives. Lena was co-owner of Bill's Video World in Gibsonville and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of the home, daughters, Deborah Robert Whitehead, Karen Mike Jeffries, Leslie Shoffner, Misty Brandon Bailey and Angel Overman and fianc, Ricky Myatt, all of Burlington; sons, Billy Wayne Jamie Overman and Leo Joseph Overman and fianc, Ricci Browder, all of Burlington; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Delma D. Roberts of Gibsonville, Shirley G. Baity of Whitsett, Frances Beal of Kernersville and Joyce Whitt of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jane Matherly. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bill Skenes with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home and other times at the sister's home, Shirley Baity, 582 NC Hwy 61, Whitsett.
