Gordon Talmage "Tal" Kernodle, 45, passed away suddenly Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Talmadge was born in Alamance County to the late Gordon Story Kernodle and Anne Sullivan Kernodle who survives and was married to Donna Smith Kernodle of the home. Talmage was employed at Novaflex of Haw River for over 20 years and was owner/operator of Western Alamance Electrical Contractors, lifelong member at Bethlehem Christian Church. God and family came first for Talmage, his faith was strong and obvious to all who knew him. Talmage regularly attended the CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling events in Gibsonville and was a regular fixture at Western Alamance High School and Northern Alamance Athletics, as he supported his kids and teammates of his children. Survivors other than his wife of the home and his mother of Burlington, include daughters and son-law, Elizabeth and Tyler Brigman, Amy Leo Kernodle; son, Talmage Neil Kernodle; step sons, Kyle DeBruler and Kendall DeBruler; step granddaughter, Hailey DeBruler; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Rob Maue, brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Tonia Kernodle, Dennis and Lynn Kernodle; nieces, Sandra-Anne, Kayla, Keira and Summer; nephews, Robbie, Devon and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his father and niece, Gracie Lynn Kernodle. The funeral service will be held 3:00pm Sunday at Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Mike Mitchener and Rev. Dave Gilbert, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Talmage will lie in state 30 mins. prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the family will be at the mother's home. In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask for donations to be sent to American National Bank, c/o Gordon Talmage Kernodle's Children College Fund, 3101 S. Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
