Gloria Perry

Mrs. Gloria Jean Porter Perry, age 77, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her home after several months of failing health.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Grady William Porter and the late Cora Lee Evans Porter and was married for over 49 years to Kenneth Ronald Perry, who passed away in 2017.  Gloria was a career homemaker, was of the Baptist faith and she loved to collect Elvis memorabilia.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Hensley and her husband, Tim, of Burlington, Wendy Barr and her husband, Daniel, of Gibsonville and Cindy House and her husband, Todd, of Mebane; nine grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Matkins, Chris (Meredith) Hensley, Taylor (Steven) Fogleman, Kelsey Jones, Blake Rutledge, Logan House, Tanner House, Ashlee Mitchell Thomas and Jacob Droppers; thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Linda (Gary) May; and a special nephew, Lynn Wyrick.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Reagan.  Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.  Mrs. Perry will be available for public viewing from 12:00 – 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon at the funeral home. The family will be receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Teresa, 1839 Routh Rd., Burlington.
