Glenna Young

Glenna Jean Hill Young, age 70, of 912 N. Graham-Hopedale Rd. passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home. A native of Carroll County, Va, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Wesley and Zella Phipp Hill and the wife of the the late Edwin Dewaine "Ed" Young. She retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of service working at both the Pioneer Plant and Williamsburg Plant and later worked at Goodwill. She attended Harvest Hills Church. Glenna is survived by 2 sons, Randy Todd and Michael Rex Sheets and partner Richard Farthing all of Burlington; daughters, Pamela Mia Craddock and husband Tim of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Nickolas Dewaine Todd, Christopher Griswold, Paytin Chrisco and Glenna Ashley; brothers, Ray Hill and wife Janet of Danbury, Bill Hill and wife Melinda of Walkertown; sisters, Juanita West of Liberty, Jewlene Montgomery of Galax, VA, Adean Greenagh and husband George of Greensboro and Elizabeth Smith and husband Ernie of Walnut Cove. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Russell Morris. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm.
