Glenn Ellis Tapp, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Alamance County. He retired from the transportation division of Burlington Industries. Glenn was baptised by his father-in-law, Rainey B. Qualls, Sr. in 1959 when he became a member of Landmark Baptist Church and was a long time deacon. He served his Lord and Savior at Landmark for the remainder of his life. Glenn was a long time deacon and loved his church family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Betsy Qualls Tapp; their children, Deborah Tapp Chandler and husband, Kirk, Lynda Tapp Amey and husband, Richard, Sonya Tapp Wrenn and husband, Timmy and Tulley Tapp; grandchildren, Laura Lee and husband, Josh, Danielle Wrenn♥, James Wrenn, Grant Chandler, Cody Tapp and wife, Alison, Carley Chandler, Haley Tapp and Mattie Wrenn; great grandchildren, Ethan Lee and Wyatt Lee; step grandchildren, Melissa Hunt and husband, Jason and Michael Amey; step great grandsons, Noah Hunt and Lucas Hunt. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hessie Ruth Horner.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Wilson. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence. The interment will be private.
