Glenn Bacchus

Glenn Arthur Bacchus, 76, of Whitsett passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. The youngest of five children, he was born in Pittsburg, PA and was the son of the late Thomas Bacchus and Helen Ellstrom Bacchus. Glenn was married for 39 years to Mary Lou Berg Bacchus who survives. He owned and operated a commercial sign business in Florida and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being involved with sports whether he was playing, coaching or just watching. He is survived by his wife of the home, son, Mark Jennifer Bacchus of Ypsilanti, MI; daughter, Tammy Teagarden of Indiana; brother, Chuck Bacchus of Pittsburg and nieces and nephews, Leslie Kornhaus, Andrea Guyer, Danny Guyer, Steve Lightbody and Tom Lightbody. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Marlowe. The family will receive friends following the service.
