Glenda Moss

Glenda Faulkner Moss, 65, passed away on January 24, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She took her diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in stride and remained healthy until the last month. She handled her illness with beauty and grace, drawing strength from her faith and her love of family.
Glenda was the wife of 37 years of David Odom Moss. She was born in Alamance County to the late Elvin James and Emma Jean Hall Faulkner. Glenda was a 20+ year employee of the Alamance-Burlington School System, enriching the lives of countless students and mentoring many young educators.
In addition to her husband, Glenda is survived by a daughter, Cyndi Holt and husband, Bill; a son, Michael Lassiter and wife, Michelle; four grandchildren, Trey and Clint Phillips and Camden and Haley Lassiter; and siblings, Debra Shutt (Bob), Ronnie Faulkner (Lynn), Donnie Faulkner (Rhonda), and Angie Faulkner (Larry DeMarco). Survivors also include a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her biological children, her caring way made her like a second mother to many others.
Glenda's favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends, whether that be planting flowers, fishing, traveling, cooking, or taking a boat ride at the lake, which was truly her happy place. As a testament to her strength of character, friends and family have traveled from as far away as New Mexico, Texas, and Florida to visit her during her illness and to comfort her family during this difficult time.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jeff McCann. The family will receive friends from 12 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Glenda's daughter.
