Glenda Buamgarner

Burlington, NC Glenda Mrs. B Squires Baumgarner, age 66, of 703 West Davis Street went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of fifty years to Jerry E. Baumgarner who survives. Glenda was a school teacher at Cummings High School, Eastern Alamance High School and she also taught at the Evening Academy at Sellars-Gunn. Glenda received her bachelors degree in English/History from Elon University and her masters degree after completing classes at A & T University and UNCG. She loved teaching, collecting antiques and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Jerry E. Baumgarner of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kelly Baumgarner of Greensboro; her mother, Ruth Ector Squires of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her father, William Everette Squires and her brother, Larry Everette Squires. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Donald R. Carter and the burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
