Gladys Fogleman Davenport Turner, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late James Hubert Davenport and Jack William Turner. She was born March 4, 1932 in Guilford County to the late Clinton Dennis and Minnie Moser Fogleman. Gladys was employed by Biscuitville for many years and loved to travel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and relaxing on her porch. She was always glad to see you and welcomed you with a smile on her face. Survivors include a daughter Cheryl Waddell of Burlington, a son Randy DebbieDavenport of Elon, step-sons; Jackie KarenTurner of Greensboro, Chris Turner of Graham, sisters; Juanita Wicker of Whitsett, Becky Rumley of Gibsonville, Mildred Jim Risley of Wilmington, Kay Bobby Foster of Gibsonville, brothers; Dewey Fogleman of Whitsett, Frank Donna Fogleman of Henderson. She is also survived by her grandchildren; David Jennifer Turner, Jill Waddell Drew Smith, Brandon Waddell, Matthew Davenport, Marcus Davenport, sons-in-law; Johnny Waddell, Wayne Turner, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, parents, a daughter Patty Davenport Turner, a stepson Todd Turner, grandson Michael Ryan Turner and his wife Shanon, a granddaughter Lindsay Turner, a sister Virginia F. Norwood, brothers; Jimmy Fogleman and C.D. Fogleman. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
