Gladys McAteer

Gladys "Faye" Jones McAteer, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cumberland County on August 14, 1944 to the late Clarence Jones and Ruby Evelyn Phillips Jones.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth McAteer, Tanna McAteer Fowler, Sonja Thompson and husband, Joe, Judith "Jam" Davis and husband, John; grandchildren, Erica Fowler, Cortney Fowler, Amy Thompson, Craig Thompson, John Davis, Jacob Davis and Sandra Thompson; great grandchildren, Michala Thompson, Jenny Vazquez, D.J. Vazquez, Brayden Benfield and Levi Riggs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Eric Fowler.

The celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 17, 2016 at Westside Fellowship by Rev. Mike Mitchener and other times the family will be at the daughter, Sonja's home.
