Gilbert Redding, Jr.

Gibsonville - Gilbert Oliver Redding, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Gilbert was born in Searcy, AK, to the late Gilbert Oliver Redding, Sr. and the late Allene Joyce Redding, was married to Linda Ward Redding who survives. Gilbert retired from Orkin Pest Control as a route Manager and was a US Army Veteran. Survivors include his children, Julia Allene Redding, Donna Ward Dean, Andrea Ward Terrell and Frederick Donald Ward, II and fiance, Carol Humble; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and sister Sue Jim Patterson. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45pm prior to the service and other times at the home.
