Geraldine Rogers

Geraldine McClure Rogers, 83, passed away at her home Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born November 27, 1931 in Washington, D.C. to the late Byron and Mildred Holtzclaw McClure and was married to the late Paul Jackson Rogers. Geraldine was an exceptional person with many interests. She had worked as a secretary at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC and worked locally as a retail manager. She was a history buff and avid gardener. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children; Susan Bridges of Wake Forest, Shelby Hamlett, Bonnie Rogers both of Graham, Paul Rogers II of Chapel Hill, adopted grandson raised as her son Joshua Cole Rogers, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter Toni R. Ball and two brothers. There will be a service to celebrate her life 5:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service with a reception.
