Georgia Whitted

Georgia Herbert Whitted, 73, passed away December 30, 2015 at the Hock Family Pavilion Hospice. She was born March 1, 1942 in Orange County, NC to the late Herman and Viola Jones Herbert. She was married to the late Nathan O. Whitted for forty-five years. She retired from the retail industry after thirty-five years of service. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Pamela (Lee) Wilson, Sheryl (Daniel) Spence, Natalie (Willie) McBride, Anisha (Kermit) Solomon; step daughter, Tonya Palmer; step son, Darryl (Angela) Whitted; siblings Thelma Mitchell, Kathleen Martin, David Herbert, Addie (Charles) Atwater, Gracie Drake, Laura Hines, Shirley Graves, Sarah Womack, Anthony Herbert, James Cheek, Inetta Carson; sisters-in-law, Vera Sykes, Celeste Whitted, Nina (Fred) Robinson; brothers-in-law, Carl (Barbara) Whitted, Harry Whitted; grandchildren, Georgina (Jameke) Edwards, Lee Wilson III, Daniel Whitted, DAnte Spence, Amaya King, Cyanne King, Isabella McBride, Kayleigh McBride, Myrick Solomon, Makario Solomon, MyAsia Solomon, Daniel German, Amber German; great grand children, Payton Wilson, Jada Wilson; a special daughter-in-law Carolyn. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her sisters and brothers she loved dearly and ask that they carry on the family with love, peace, union, and strength because she said she will be watching. I love you, Georgia! She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Edward Herbert, Bobby Herbert and Doris Headen; brother-in-law, Alvoy Sykes and special sister-in-law, Ruth Whitted. There will be a service to celebrate her life 4:00 PM Saturday at Lipscomb Grove Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Hughes T. Crisp, Sr. and Rev. Boyd Bullock.
