Georgia Hazelwood Wade, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Alamance Health Care surrounded by her family. She was born in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late George Washington Hazelwood and the late Ellen Robinson Hazelwood. She was a member of Faith Bible Chapel. Mrs. Wade retired from Kayser-Roth after 20 years of service, worked 15 years at Hole-n-None Hosiery, then went to work at Chick-fil-A for about 13 years. She loved to go to work and she loved to crochet. She is survived by her daughter, Lynece W. Mason and her husband Perry of Lake Lure; son, Ronald Wade, Sr. and his wife Kathy of Gibsonville; daughter-in-law, Carol Wade of Burlington; grandchildren, Missy Turner, Ron Wade, Jr., Chris Phillips, Brian Phillips and Caroline Carver; great grandchildren, Ladoska Turner, Hunter Wade, Raymond Sisk, Anna Phillips, Max Phillips, Jack Carver, Sam Carver and Catherine Carver and a sister, Garnett Grogan of Stoneville. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Don Wade and Dennis Wade, brothers, Oscar Hazelwood and Charles Martin and sisters, Cottie Smith and Margaret Francis. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Robertson and Rev. John Stewart with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45-12:45 Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son, Ronald Wade, Sr., 500 Piedmont Ave., Gibsonville, NC. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Barbara Graves, Carol Woods and all the nurses and staff at Alamance Health Care who took such good care of Mrs. Wade.
