Mr. George Lee Dudleck, age 84, of 1921 Trail 5, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Hospice Home after a couple years of failing health. Born in Altavista, VA, he was the son of the late Andrew Joseph Dudleck and the late Edna Earl Dudleck and was married for over 64 years to Mrs. Lucille Squires Dudleck, who survives. George was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was of the Baptist faith. He was the owner and operator of George Dudleck Guttering Company and was an avid softball player, coach and team sponsor. Mr. Dudleck was survived by his wife of the home; a brother, Clarence Matherly of Burlington; and four sisters, Grace Shepherd of West Palm Beach, FL, Katie Theo, Ruth Aydt and Mary May, all of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Oscar Dudleck, Spencer Matherly and James Matherly. The family will be conducting a memorial service/Graveside Service on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery.
