George Bancroft

Burlington, NC George Allen Bancroft, age 59, of Country Club Mobile Home Park went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at his home. He was a native of Lenawee County, Michigan. George was a retired truck driver and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, George Allen and Lisa Fedosuk of Hillsdale, Michigan and Jon Crapo of Sturgis, Michigan; daughter, Mary Lou Margeson of Charlotte, Michigan; step sons, Jason Smith of Wise, Viriginia and Don Smith of Ideal, Georgia; step daughter, Kim Masters of Ideal, Georgia; two grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Haeussler and Betty Spreeman both of Tecumseh, Michigan, Phyllis Bancroft of La fayette, Indiana; brother, Richard Bancroft of Brooklyn, Michigan and his best friend, Gary McDaniel of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest Alva and Myrtle Irene McBride Bancroft; sisters, Barb Herkimer and Ruth Whisnant; brother, James Jimmy Bancroft. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Rocky G. Billings and assisted by Rev. Frankie Hayden and Chaplain Larry Taylor. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
