Burlington-Geneva Ann Campbell Byrd, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Twin Lakes. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of 64 years to Ralph Rodgers Byrd who survives. She was the daughter of the late Jim Henry and Verona “Rona” Elizabeth Edwards Campbell.
Geneva retired from Chick-Fil-A at Holly Hill Mall after 13 years. She was a member of Holly Hill Baptist Church and she was a nursery volunteer. Geneva was a talented seamstress, avid gardener. She was most at home looking after her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph R. Byrd of the home; son, Timothy “Tim” Byrd and wife, Roberta “Robbie” Byrd of Graham; daughter, Teresa Byrd of Burlington; grandchildren, James “Andrew” Byrd and Lauren Byrd; brother, Jimmy Hoyt Campbell and wife, Catherine of Reidsville; sister, Cathy Campbell Webster of Yanceyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dewey Lee Campbell and Donnie Ralph “Buzz” Campbell and sisters, Ellen Lavern “Cotton” Campbell and Barbara Marie Hardee.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00am at Holly Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger. The burial will follow at Oakview Church Cemetery in Caswell County. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
