Geneva Stout

Mrs. Geneva Edna Stout, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Hospice Home after several weeks of failing health. Geneva was born in Wade, OK on November 12, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Wilford Allen and Annie Walker. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Geneva and her husband, Jeff Stout, were married and lived in Roff, OK, prior to moving to Ada, OK in 1942, where they raised their three sons, Thomas Dale Stout, Robert Allen Stout and Kenneth Wayne Stout. In 1962 she and her husband moved to Dell City, OK. Upon the death of her husband, Jeff, in 1986, she moved to Garland, TX, where she resided until moving to Burlington, NC in August 2005. Mrs. Stout is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Stout; three sons, Donald Leon Stout, who died as an infant, Thomas Dale Stout in 1996 and Robert Allen Stout in 2005 and Robert's wife, Georgeanne in 2009; and two brothers, Russell Walker and Joe Allen Walker. She is survived by her youngest son, Kenneth Wayne Stout and his wife, Jean, of Burlington, NC; eight grandchildren that she loved dearly, Sherrie, who is deceased, Katrina, Rhona and Crystal, who were all Robert's children, Karen and Tonya, who were Tom's Children, and Debra and Gary, who are Ken's children; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Stout will be held at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, OK at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2010. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service starting at 12:00 noon. Geneva will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Jeff, in the family plot at East Hill Cemetery, Roff, OK following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Holly Hill Baptist Church, 2818 Edgewood Ave., Burlington, NC 27215.
