Gavin Swink

Gavin Ray Swink, 18, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 in UNC Hospital from injuries due to a wreck. He was born March 27, 1997 in Alamance County to Angel Moize Stewart and Rodney Swink. Gavin graduated from Southern Alamance High School in 2015. He worked for Thornton Heating and Air and was a caring and loving son, father and brother. He took care of his daughter and her mother. He loved fast cars and hanging out with his car club friends. Survivors include his daughter Shayleigh Swink of Liberty; mother and step-father, Angel Moize (James) Stewart of Burlington; father, Rodney Swink of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; girlfriend, McKenzie Graves of Liberty; brother, Kravin Swink of Shallote, NC; other siblings, Austin Stewart, Jantzen Stewart, Allie Stewart, Denver Swink; maternal grandfather, Troy Grubb of Denton, NC; paternal grandparents, Don and Pat Swink of Thomasville, Phyllis and Richard Ussery of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Mae Moize. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Josh Gresham. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
