Gaston Roberts

Gaston Lee Roberts, 89, of Turner Rd. passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Edith Virginia Simmons Roberts and the son of the late Grady Henry and Oletha Owens Roberts. Gaston was a native of Prairie Hill, Texas, served in the US Army during WW II and was a fireman in Waco. He worked part time as a cashier for Mayberry North Church St. and was a member of Mebane St. Church of Christ. Survivors include his son G. Boyce Roberts and his wife Margaret of Haw River, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, sister Marjorie Jones of Waco, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a great grandson and a sister. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Al Bergeron and Rick Moore. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. and at other times at the home of his son Boyce Roberts, 937 Lyndon Lane, Haw River.
