Gary Murphy

Burlington, NC Gary Eugene Murphy, age 54 of 130 S. Broad Street went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at his home. He was a good natured and loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a native of Guilford County and an avid fan of country music. Survivors include his step father, Grady Allen Starling of the home; brother, Grady Keith Starling and his aunt, Dorothy Porter Simpson both of Burlington; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ogburn Eugene Murphy; mother, Myrtle Porter Starling and a brother, Walter Thomas Murphy. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Randy Hobbs and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his aunt, Dorothy Simpson, 1716 S. Mebane Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
