Gary Lynn Montgomery, 64, of Hampstead, NC passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2019 at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Bernard Dwight and Agnes May Montgomery and husband of Dottie Montgomery.
He was employed by Walter Kidde Co. for 30 years before retiring and moving to the beach.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie Montgomery of the home; son, Gary "Scooter" Montgomery, Jr. and fiancee Paige Phillips of Burlington; sister, Sherry Lee Smith and husband Ronnie of Burlington and his expectant grandchild, "Peanut". He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Danny Wayne Montgomery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 In the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Lamberth. The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister, 2215 Troendly St.
Burlington, NC.
