Gary Highfill

Elon - Gary Harrison Highfill, 72, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Guilford County on June 12, 1943 to the late Eston Harrison and Leona Hoke Highfill and was the husband of Sandra Faye Highfill of the home.

He is also survived by his son, Jeff Highfill and wife Laura of Charlotte; daughter, Amie Davis of High Point; step daughters, Sherry Ballard and husband Chris, Kimberly Guerra, Nena Chavez; grandchildren, Olivia, Hunter, Curry, Todd, Amanda, Cary, Vernon, Kaitlyn, Bobbi-Shane, Salena, Mallory; six great grandchildren and sisters, Linda Cook and Bettye Nance. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Numa Highfill.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Stanley Savage with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 11:30-12:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
