Garry Dwayne Irby, age 52 of 1171 Ridgeville Rd. passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Caswell County, he was the son of Ruthie Briggs Irby and the late Cabell Richard Irby, Sr. Although Garry had Cerebral Palsy, he touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. Survivors include his mother, Ruthie Briggs Irby of the home; sisters, Janie Nelson and husband Hugh, Jeanette Beaudet and husband Fred, all of Burlington, Frances Taylor and husband Buck of Rougemont, Peggy Talley of Cedar Grove, Mary Ellen Bush and friend Billy of Graham, Vickie Irby of Prospect Hill and Wanda Riley of Cedar Grove; brothers, Jimmy Irby of Mebane, Ricky Irby and wife Vickie of Elon, Jackie Irby and wife Sarah of Hillsborough and Barry Irby, his twin brother with whom he had a special bond in their own special little world and with their own special language. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Cabell Richard Irby, Jr. and sister, Patricia Ann Talley. A graveside service will be held at 4:00PM Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Lea Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Steve Joyner and Chaplin Steve Jordan. Garry will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the cemetery for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Thursday and other times at the residence. The family would like to thank Patricia Moore and Ronnie Lunsford for special love and support in caring for Garry.
