Garland Isley, Jr.

Burlington, NC Garland "Brother" Edrow Isley, age 64, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Guiford County and the son of the late Garland Edrow Isley, Sr. and Mary William Isley. Garland worked for Neese's Sausage earlier in his life and attended Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed walking and eating meals at Zack's. Garland enjoyed people and he never met a stranger. Survivors include his sisters. Catherine Andrews and her husband, Julius of Gibsonville, Vickie Hinshaw and her husband, James of Gibsonville and Linda Hedrick and her husband, Larry of Mocksville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, April Denise Andrews. The Isley family would like to thank Jean Majors and her staff for their kind and compassionate care of Garland over the past several years. A service to celebrate his life will be held on 3:00 PM Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Brightwood Christian Church by Rev. Ricky Cox and Rev. Tommy Bright. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church fellowship hall.
