Frederick Hamler

Gibsonville, NC Frederick "Fred" Carroll Hamler, age 65, of Pebble Drive died on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. A native of Gainesville, Florida, he was the husband of Judy Moore Loy Hamler who survives. Fred was a retired Sr. Master Sergeant with the US Air Force and was a parts manager for Autozone in Haw River. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of the home; mother, Virginia Dare Stanley Hamler of Archer, Florida; sons, Chris Hamler of Boca Raton, Florida, Mark Deanne Trumbetas of Indian Town, Florida, Kevin Paul Hamler of Woodbridge, England and Travis Loy and his wife, Marie and granddaughter, Kaitlyn "Kooter" Loy all of Elon; sisters, Barbara Owen and her husband, Gene and Alice Hamler all of Gainesville, Florida; sister-in-law, Ellen Gilbert and her husband, Harold of California. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Hamler. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Larry Lamberth and full military honors will be provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 9 until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
