Frederick Cyrus Coble 71, passed away September 1, 2024 after a long-fought battle with Parkinson’s for over 15 years. Freddie was an avid Hot Air Balloon Pilot. He was the proud owner of Bandit and StarDust. He enjoyed early mornings taking people up in the balloon and grabbing tree limbs from the top of trees and the occasional splash skipping across lakes.
He was a Loyal employee who worked for Essilor for 45 years before retiring. Freddie had lots of adventures in his lifetime from being in the Army Reserve, Go Kart Racing, Jet Boats, Hot Air Balloons, Scuba Diving and building his dream Log Home with his best friend Mike. He spent the last 5 years at Twin Lakes where he found a new adventure in Rock Steady Boxing. Freddie quickly fell in love with hitting the bag and showing his strength. This program helped him stay strong and keep Parkinson’s from taking over.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Clay Coble; mother, Bernice Pyles Coble; brother, Butch Coble and sister, Barbara Coble Sicks. He is survived by his niece, Stephanie Sicks (Barbara’s daughter); nephew, Sam Warren (Barbara’s son), as well as many cousins and life-long friends.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery by Pastor Nathan Hooks. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to your local Cat Rescue. Freddie loved cats and would love to be remembered by helping save cats in need.
