Fredda Foster

Mrs. Fredda Wicker Foster, age 81, of Mebane, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Okel Wicker and the late Opal Gertrude Vest Wicker and was married to the late Dallie Lee “Babe” Foster, who passed in 1990.  She retired from Kayser-Roth after many years of service and attended Nall Memorial Baptist Church.  She was an avid seamstress and also crocheted, quilted and made a variety of crafts.  She also was a volunteer for the Alamance Community College special needs vocational program.

Mrs. Foster is survived by her three daughters, Rhonda Evans and husband, Mark, of Burlington, Cathy Benes and husband, Jeff, of Graham and Virginia “Ginny” Foster of Graham; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Sue Wicker and Molly W. Santini; three brothers, Max Wicker, Worth Wicker and Roy Wicker, Jr.; along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Cynthia Gibson Smith; an infant grandchild; and a brother, Bill Wicker.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Wade Cox.  Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
