Freda Setzer Kimrey

Freda Ann Setzer Kimrey, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at her home. Freda was a native of Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Fred Setzer and Marguerite Liles Setzer. 

Freda was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church where she attended faithfully for many years. She loved being with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed keeping up with her family and friends through handwritten cards, which she was loyal about sending. She was also known for being a prayer warrior, she was a blessing to everyone she knew. 

Survivors include; Hal Kimrey, daughter; Julie Miles and her husband Mike, grandsons; Alex Miles and wife, Mackenzie and Trent Miles and wife, Jeanni, great grandchildren, Josie Miles, Levi Miles, Stetson Miles, Waylon Miles, Cason Miles and Wyette Miles as well as a great uncle; James W. Liles. Freda was preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Marguerite Setzer, brother; Roger Setzer and an infant brother; Marshall Setzer. 

A funeral service to celebrate Freda’s life will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30AM to 11:45AM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
