Fred Kelley IV

Fred Kelley IV, 68, of Burlington, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Alamance Regional Hospital, surrounded by his closest loved ones. He fought a long and courageous battle with respiratory failure and a recurrence of cancer, having been a two-time cancer survivor.

Born on January 30, 1957, in Michigan, to Dan and Patricia Kelley, Fred was a devoted partner and father. He shared nearly 30 years of loving companionship with Virginia Brown. He was a dedicated and loving father to Mékka, Danielle, and Brenden.

His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Rhylen, Aliyah, and Lilly, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Fred valued the friendships he built throughout his life, possessing a remarkable ability to connect with people. He was a man who made a friend wherever he went, making everyone feel welcome and appreciated. With his inherent Southern hospitality, his home was always open, a judgment-free haven for all. He also found joy in tinkering and fixing anything he could get his hands on.

Fred will be deeply missed. Fred was a ray of sunshine in so many people's lives, especially Virginia and his daughters. He was a truly good man, a source of unwavering support and love, and a "kick-ass dad,"
