Franziska Weidemann

Burlington, NC Franziska "Franzi" Maria Weidemann 80, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was born December 25, 1934 in Wrtzburg, Germany. Franzi immigrated to the United States and married Werner "Schatz" W. Weidemann in 1957. After living a few years in NY and NJ, they became long-time residents of New Fairfield, CT. Later, they retired to Spring Hill, FL and then settled in Burlington, NC for the past 5 years. Franzi had an amazing loving spirit and energy focusing on spending time with, and cooking for, her family and friends. She especially loved spending many hours in her garden tending to her lovely flowers. Franzi is survived by the love of her life, Schatz, for 59 years, daughters Virginia Giordano of Pasadena, MD, Patricia Hooper of Norwalk, CT and son Michael Weidemann of Saxapahaw, NC; grandchildren Keith Acosta, Sarah and Emma Hooper, Zachary and Nicholas Weidemann. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm Friday, September 18, 2015 in Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Tessmann. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Lowe Funeral Home.
