Franklin Riggs

Mr. Franklin Frank Riggs, 73, of 420 May St. passed away Wednesday March 7, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Riggs was born November 22, 1933 in Onslow, County to the late Loyal and Emma Riggs. He retired from Sherwood Forest Apartments where he did maintenance. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved working in his garden and doing yard work. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nancy B. Riggs of the home; two sons, Terry Riggs and his wife Karen of Burlington and Joey Riggs of Gibsonville; two daughters, Penny Robinson and her husband Ronald of Elon and Jessica Hurley and her husband Gordon of Burlington; two grandchildren, Zachery Robinson and Ryan Hurley; four brothers and sisters, Georgia Meadows of New Bern, NC, Shirly McKiddy of Havelock, NC, Tom Riggs of Newport, NC, and Troy Riggs of Franklinville, NC. Mr. Riggs was preceded in death by three sisters, Ada Campbell, Sally Saulter, and Doris Teasley. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Gibsonville City Cemetery by Pastor Bruce Ritter.
