Franklin Hollars

Snow Camp, NC Franklin "Frank" Delano Hollars, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2009. He was a native of North Wilkesboro and the husband of 48 years to Wanda Fay Harwood Hollars who survives. Frank was a self employed building and remodeling Contractor for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. Frank spent the past several years of his life devoting time to his family, grandchildren and his pets, "Precious" and "Snoopy". Survivors include his wife, Wanda Fay Hollars of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Lawrence Allen of Snow Camp, Diana and Todd Fogleman of Snow Camp and Joanna and Ronnie Bane of South Boston, Virignia; grandchildren, Jonathan Frank Allen, Leana Allen, Deana Allen, Stephanie Fogleman, Steven Fogleman, Melanie Church and Christine Church; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Shirley Hollar of Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Alma Perdue Hollars Wilson; step father, Homer Wilson; sisters, Mary Evans and Louise Ball; brother, Jim Hollars. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ervin Kimery, Jr. and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at his residence and the home of his daughter, Diana Fogleman, 4097 Swannie Coble Road, Snow Camp, NC 27349.
