Elon-Franklin Warren Fraser, age 71 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Ashton Place. He was the husband of 29 years to Margaret Creech Fraser who survives. Warren spent most of his career in newspaper advertising, starting out in Florida working in Winter Haven and Orlando. He later moved to Virginia working for the Daily Press in Newport News and later becoming Advertising Director in Danville, Virginia for the Register and Bee and in Burlington for the Times News. Later Warren worked for Sears and Alamance Memorial Park and then became co-manager with his wife, Margaret, of Alston Avenue Self Storage in Durham. Warren was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a member of the church choir. He enjoyed music and was an accomplished Tuba player. Warren was an avid Washington Redskins fan and an avid reader. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Fraser of the home; son, Thomas Fraser and wife, Christal of Wagoner, SC; step children, Jimmy Dossey and wife, Penny of Yorktown, Virginia, Michael Rudd and girlfriend, Laura Williams of Elon, Sarah Thompson and husband, Byron of Elon; grandchildren, Jordan, Annslee and Brenna Fraser; step grandchildren, Amanda Stevens, Keith and Logan Dossey, Hope Rudd, Chelsea and Aaron Thompson; brothers, Larry Fraser and wife, Gloria, Lee Fraser and Dennis Fraser and wife, Debbie all of Lakeland, Florida. Warren's four legged fur babies, "Lady Diva", "Lucy Lou", "Tubby" and "Miss Laylia". He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Archer Fraser and Frankie Hall Fraser. The family would like to thank the entire staff and nurses of Alamance Regional Medical Center, 2nd floor and Ashton Place in McLeansville. Also a special thanks to Dr. Paul Hayashi and Dr. Scott Elliott both of UNC. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church by Pastor Randy Hobbs. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
