Franklin Fowler, Jr.

Liberty-Franklin Cicero "Frank" Fowler, Jr., 80 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Hazelhurst, Georgia and the husband of 56 years to Angielin Yaun Fowler who survives.
Frank graduated from Georgia State University and went to work for the US Postal service for 33 years. He began his career in Charleston, SC and later working in Atlanta, GA, Greensboro, NC, Asheville, NC and retired as Postmaster in Waynesville, NC. Frank was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship. His hobbies centered around motorsports and especially Volkswagen cars. His family fondly remembers him designing a Dune Buggy from a Volkswagen. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Angielin Y. Fowler of the home; sons, Franklin Cicero Fowler, III of Charlotte and Scott Eugene Fowler and wife, Terri of Holly Springs, NC; daughter, Cheryl Fowler Sandford and husband, Bill of Burlington; grandchildren, Seth Fowler, Delani Fowler, Christopher Sandford, William Sandford, Luke and Levi Sandford; brother, Joe S. Fowler of Conyers, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Cicero Fowler, Sr. and Annie Lou Ramsey Fowler.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and their Church family for their many acts of kindness during Frank's illness.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Christian Bible Fellowship by Pastor Bruce Readling and Pastor Randy Kidd the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
