Frank Rudd

Elon, NC Frank D. Rudd, age 74, of 7280 Busick Quarry Road went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. Frank was a native of Guilford county and the husband of 50 years to Ida Ruth Williams Rudd who survives. Frank retired from Lorillard Tobacco after 36 years and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Page and her husband, Mike of Burlington, Lisa Miller and her husband, Jeff of McLeansville; grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Page; sister, Dorothy King of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Madison and Girlie Lee Murray Rudd; sisters, Evelyn Chambers, Maidie Williford and Gladys Rudd; brother, James Rudd. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Steve Tucker and Rev. Walter Jones and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
