Francisco Rodriguez Negron

Francisco Rodriguez Negron, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Compass Healthcare & Rehab. He was born on February 28, 1931 in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico to the late Andres Rodriguez and Margarita Negron Valentin, and was the husband of 57 years to Laura Maria Jinesta Rodriguez who survives.

Francisco retired from the US Postal Service after 10 years and was a former employee with the Veterans Hospital. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Francisco enjoyed playing baseball for the Brooklyn, NY Postal Service Team in his younger years.

Survivors other than his wife, Laura Rodriguez include a daughter, Laura
(Ruben) Gonzalez; sons, Francisco (Lily) Andres Rodriguez and Jose (Cathy) Alberto Rodriguez; grandchildren that he adored, Zoe Gonzalez, Javier Gonzalez, Jennifer Rodriguez, Kevin Rodriguez, Kerrie Michelle Rodriguez and Sebastian Rodriguez; and several nieces and nephews. Francisco was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Aida Rodriguez, Margarita Alemany, Jaime Rodriguez and Rafael Rodriguez.

The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Peter Tymko, OFM, Conv. with entombment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. Miliary honors will preformed by the US Army at the conclusion of the cryptside service. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45am on Monday at the church prior to the service and other times at the residence.
