Frances Zimmerman

Frances Zimmerman, 73, of 120 Oliver Lane passed away Sunday April 19, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Bernice Zimmerman and was born May 31, 1935 in Person County to the late Eugene Thomas and Lora Turner Shotwell. Frances retired from Tower Hosiery Mill and was a member of Lakeview Community Church. Survivors include her husband of the home, daughter Robin Boone and her husband Randy of Burlington, a son Mark Wayne Zimmerman of Burlington, grandchildren, Scott Boone, Jamie Boone, Mason Zimmerman, Marla Zimmerman, sisters, Doris Page of Burlington, Annie Sue Carver and her husband Oakie of Alton, VA, Wray Long of Roxboro, Jean Gibson of Roxboro, brothers, Wade Shotwell and his wife Mary Ann of Burlington and Wayne Shotwell and his wife Gai of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Thomas Shotwell, Harry Shotwell and Algie Lee Shotwell. The funeral will be held 11:00 Am Wednesday at Lakeview Community Church by Rev. Reid Dickens. Interment will follow in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Semora, NC. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
