Frances Wright

Frances Loy Wright, age 85, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late John Reid Wright and daughter of the late Kinnie Horner and Joseph Lester Loy, Sr. She was a member of Middle River Baptist Church, was a hairdresser and had been employed by Burlington Industries, Altamahaw Plant. In 1957, she and her husband moved from Burlington to Baltimore. Survivors include her sons, John Reid Wright, Jr. and wife Julia of Huntsville, AL and Joseph Gillis Wright and wife Andrea of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Meghan Wright and Sean Wright; brother, Joe L. Loy, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, Garland Loy, Virgie Wilson, Richard Loy, Margaret Crouse and Ora Mae Lowe. Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, November 29, 2010 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. John D. Shields. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 10:00am to12:00 noon Monday, prior to the graveside service.
