Frances Wood

Elon - Frances Danieley Wood, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Charles E. Wood, Major, USAF, (Ret.) and daughter of the late Henry Hubbard and Grace Elizabeth Mansfield Danieley
Frances was a member of Elon Community Church and was retired from Carolina Biological Supply. She was a charter member of the Crescent Chapter of American Business Woman's Association since 1972 where she had served as President and held other offices until the chapter went inactive.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Wade Wood Lt. Col. USAF, (RET.) and wife Sharon of Los Alamos, NM, Dave Wood and wife Nancy of Sarasota, FL, Jim Wood and wife Michelle of Elon; daughter, Debra Faye Alexandra Wood of Warrenton, VA; former daughter-in-law, Melissa Faucette Wood of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Douglas Adam Wood of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeffrey Michael Wood and wife Sarahjane of Philadelphia, PA, Davey Wood and wife Xiayun Tan of Silver Spring , MD, Katie Wood of Los Angeles, CA, Peter Wood of Centreville, VA, Jacqueline Wood of Chicago, IL, Samuel Henry Wood of Warrenton, VA, Jeremy David Wood and Joshua Daniel Wood both of Elon; great granddaughter, Heidi Wood of Silver Spring, MD; step granddaughters, Emily Baxter Wysocki and Megan Baxter Baron and husband Kevin; step great granddaughters, Kinsey Wysocki and Natalie Baron; grandchildren in heart, Andrew, Matthew, Meredith and Megan Miller of Elon, Jennifer Owens Durham, David Durham and Stephen Owens all of Burlington; great grandchildren in heart, Samuel and Luke Durham of Burlington; brother, Dr. James Earl Danieley of Elon; sister, Faye Danieley Conally and husband Tom of Elon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Henry Howard Danieley and sisters-in-law Vernell Danieley, Verona Danieley and Elizabeth Danieley .
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Elon Community Church by Rev. Randy Orwig, Senior Pastor. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. Mrs. Wood will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5-7pm Saturday.
Friends and family are invited to a reception following the graveside service at The Community Life Center at Elon Community Church.
