Frances Turner

Burlington Frances Marie Murray Turner, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late William C. Snooty Turner, Sr. Frances was a former co-manager at Ralph Scott Group Homes and was a member of Harvest Hills Church. She was a member of the church choir, praise team, intercessory prayer team and the Harvest Golds seniors group. Frances was most proud of her time spent with the Russell Toney and the Israelites Gospel group. She loved flower gardening and spending time with her family who remember her as the Worlds Greatest Cook. Survivors include her sons, William Dink Turner, Jr. and wife, Vikki of Burlington, Bobby Turner and wife, Angie of Snow Camp, Keith Turner and Janet Thomas of Burlington; grandchildren, Joy Isely-Hinshaw, Frankie Isley, Shawn Wilson, Daniel Turner, Bryan Turner, Brianne Puckett, Jason Turner and Josh Turner; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, Eva Wilson Murray and a daughter Karen Turner Shaw. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Russell Morris and Rev. Bryan Turner. Interment will follow in Pine Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 pm prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and at other times at the home of her son Dink. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
