Frances Sturm

Burlington, NC Frances Goad Fran Sturm, age 85, of 1211 E. Willowbrook Dr., Burlington, passed away at 11;45 PM Thursday November 29, 2007 at White Oak Manor. A native of Staunton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Donald Edward and Rena Hacknett Goad. She was retired from the Augusta Medical Center in Staunton after 27 years. She was a lifelong resident of Staunton, VA where she was a fixture at Staunton Braves Baseball games. Fran was a member of Powerline Church of the Nazarene where she was active in the Friendship Club. Survivors include her two sons, Jerome H. Sturm and wife Diane of Burlington and Jeff L. Sturm and wife Nancy of Wake Forrest; 8 grandchildren, Erica Sturm, Logan Sturm, Alexander Sturm, Sarah Sturm, Christina Sturm, Josiah Sturm, Janelle Sturm and Elijah Sturm and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Goad of Staunton, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Twitchell. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 1-3 PM Saturday December 1, 2007. Mrs. Sturm will then be taken to Reynolds-Hamrick Funeral Home in Staunton, VA where the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday December 3, 2007 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Staunton, VA. While in Burlington, the family will be at the home of Jerome Sturm; 1211 E.
