Frances Kimrey

Frances Smith Kimrey, 86, of 510 E. Davis St. died Monday, May 8, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William Thomas Kimrey and the daughter of the late Elvin T. and Maude Jordan Smith A native of Randolph County she was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church and member of the Methodist Women. The owner and operator of Frances Hosiery Mill Inc. where she acted as secretary and treasurer. She will be remembered for her years of service as a den mother with the Cub Scouts. She is survived by her sons William David Kimrey of Navarre, FL, and Robert Lynn Kimrey of Mary Esther, FL, grandchildren; Brian Douglas Kimrey, Robert Daniel Kimrey, Joshua Thomas Kimrey, Brian Joseph Kimrey, Great Granddaughter Madison Kimrey, sister, Sarah Jane Smith of Burlington, brothers; Ralph Smith of Liberty, and Herbert Smith of Bridgeton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister; Kathleen Shoffner, brothers; John Smith, Franklin Smith and Marvin Smith The funeral service will be at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm Thursday, May 11, 2006 by Rev. Jerry Dodson. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8PM Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
