Mrs. Frances Ann Humphries Jack, 81, of 509 Whitesell St., died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Hospice Home after a brief illness. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Furman Humphries and the late Hattie Douglas Humphries and was married to the late Thornton N. Jack, who died in 1995. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Jack is survived by three daughters, Donna Jack of the home, Shirley Sanders and her husband, Dell, of Gainesville, FL and Sandra Stewart and her husband, Greg, of Charlotte; a son, Freddie Parris of Gainesville, FL; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Deborah Jack, and a son, Jack W. Parris, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Philip Hoffman. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 Thursday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and doctors of the Hospice Home for their excellent care and kindness.
