Burlington, NC Frances Marie Widenhouse Frauendorfer, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was married for 53 years to Bartel Frauendorfer who survives. Frances retired from Alamance County Department of Social Services. She was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church. Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of the home, daughters, Janice F. Sprow and her husband, Jim of Louisville, Kentucky and Maggie F. Moore of Burlington; son, Erick Frauendorferand his wife, Melissa of Farmington, Utah; honorary daughter, Linda Bennett and her husband, Larry of Lugoff, South Carolina; grandchildren, Misty Irwin, Scott Roberts, Danielle Moore and Amber Moore; brother, Bufort Widenhouse and his wife, Yvonne of Maryland; sisters-in-law, Patsy Widenhouse of Beaufort, South Carolina and Margaret Widenhouse of Spartanburg, South Carolina; nieces and nephews including Joan Black and Patricia Lampley, She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Martin Widenhouse and Lottie Baker Widenhouse; brothers, Thomas, Phillip, Claude, James, Gene, Robert and a sister, Edna Carpenter. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at Front Street United Methodist Church by Rev. Marshall Old and assisted by Chaplain Steve Flint. There will be a reception following the service in the Heritage Center at the church. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 pm on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Allied Churches of Alamance County, 206 N.
