Frances Dunevant

McLeansville - Frances Elaine Maye Dunevant, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Hospice Home. A native of Guilford County, she was born April 12, 1937 to the late Robert Boyd and Elsie Steele Maye and was the wife of 62 years to Alton James Dunevant of the home.
Frances was a member of McLeansville Baptist Church and owned Frances Beauty and Dress Shop. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of the home; son, Alton James "Sam" Dunevant, Jr.and wife, Nancy; sisters, Peggy Stewart and husband Gene and Doris Hutchinson; grandson, Alton Duane "Al" Dunevant and great grandchildren, Avery and Riley Dunevant. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kim Elaine Dunevant; sister, Betty Still and a brother, Rufus Daniel "R.D." Maye.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Barnette with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
