Frances Dameron

Frances Compton Dameron, age 93, of Elva Drive passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late John Lemuel and Elia Mae "Babe" Dunevant Compton and wife of the late Eugene Thomas Dameron who died in 2006. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries Printing Service. She is survived by a sister, Betty C. Edwards and husband Zane of Burlington and a brother Wallace Compton and wife Anne of Caswell County and her best friend Loraine Dove. She was preceded in death by brothers, Hurley Compton, Ralph Compton, Walter Compton and Zellie Compton and sister, Dessie Compton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, February 28. 2013 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Privette. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Dameron will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday and at the home of the sister, Betty Edwards, 2123 Martin St., Burlington at other times.
