Frances Brown

Frances Morris Brown, age 82, of Maple Ave. passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Duke Medical Center surrounded by her family A native of Johnston County, she was the wife of the late Harvey Earl Brown and daughter of the late Richmond Hobson and Agnes Stroud Morris. She was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church and a retired employee of J. Spencer Love. Frances was well known as the "pie lady". Survivors include her children, James Earl Brown and wife Frankie of Snow Camp, Shelton Brown and wife Pam of Graham, LaRue Brown Andrews late Larry of Graham, Lynn Brown of Graham and Allen Brown; sister, Brenda Morris Beaty and husband Jim of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, June 15, 2014 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gary Williams. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Brown will remain at Lowe Funeral Home through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 1:30 until 3:30pm Sunday, prior to the funeral service.
