Frances "Bootsie" Kimbrell Swinney Brawley, 82, of Burlington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Lexington, NC and was the daughter of the late Thomas Wiley Kimbrell and Mozelle Myrtle Lowman Kimbrell. She was formerly employed with the Alamance County Tax Assessor's Office. Bootsie was a faithful member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and a member of the Living Legends Shag Club at North Myrtle Beach.
She is survived by her children, Tommy (Elizabeth) Swinney, Kim (Steve) Walker, Linda (Chris) Spivey and Scott Swinney; grandchildren, Christopher, Fran and Drew and great grandchildren, Eli and AnnaJo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sumter Brawley.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Redding and Rev. Bob Stephenson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
